HOW WE COUNT

How BKMOS Calculates a Source Page

BKMOS normally prices document translation by the number of source pages containing content.
We do not automatically convert every project into a fixed 300-word page.

01

PDFs, Scans & Official Documents

Each side containing content that must be translated is counted as one source page. Blank sides are not counted.

02

Word & PowerPoint Files

Page count is reviewed from the version supplied at quotation. Material content or layout changes may require re-confirmation.

03

Excel, Drawings & Complex Forms

Dense tables, engineering drawings, large-format pages and unusual layouts are reviewed separately before pricing.

Quick budget formula

Number of source pages × language rate + certification, additional copies, delivery and special requirements where applicable.

CERTIFIED DOCUMENTS

What Is Included in a Certified Translation Quote?

When a document requires certification or another formal processing step, the total price may contain
several separate components. BKMOS confirms the applicable items after reviewing the document and its intended use.

1

Translation Fee

Source pages × the agreed language rate, adjusted where specialist content requires separate review.

2

Certification Fee

Determined by the document type, required procedure and agreed processing arrangement.

3

Additional Copies

Applied when you need more than the number of hard-copy sets included in the agreed scope.

4

Delivery & Extras

Courier, color printing, special formatting or urgent handling are listed separately where required.

The expression “notarized translation” is commonly used by clients, but the legally appropriate procedure
can vary by document, receiving authority and intended country of use. See our
Certified & Notarized Translation
page for more detail.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Translation Pricing FAQs

Does BKMOS charge by page or by word?

BKMOS generally calculates document translation according to source pages containing content rather than automatically converting every file to a fixed 300-word page. Complex digital content or unusual formats may be quoted differently.

Are certification fees included in the language table?

No. The table shows reference translation fees. Certification, additional copies, delivery, special formatting and other project-specific costs are confirmed separately where applicable.

Why can two documents with the same number of pages have different prices?

Language direction, technical complexity, content density, source-file quality, formatting requirements and deadline can all affect the final quotation.

Can I send a photograph or scan to receive a quote?

Yes. Clear scans or photographs are normally sufficient for an initial review. Images should show the full page and all content clearly.

Will the price change after I approve the quote?

If the source files and requirements remain unchanged, BKMOS works within the agreed scope. If you add pages, change the deadline or request additional services, any new cost is confirmed before the additional work proceeds.

How much does a specialized translation cost?

The table can be used for initial budgeting, but legal, financial, medical, technical, engineering and other terminology-heavy projects are reviewed before the final rate is confirmed.
