CERTIFIED TRANSLATION IN VIETNAM
BKMOS provides professional translation support for personal,
academic, legal and business documents that require certification
or other formal authentication for use in Vietnam or abroad.
Established in 2009, we help clients prepare translations accurately,
consistently and in the format required for their intended purpose.
UNDERSTANDING THE SERVICE
Clients often use terms such as certified translation,
notarized translation or
official translation when a translated document
must be submitted to an authority, university, embassy,
immigration agency, employer, bank or business partner.
These terms do not always describe the same legal procedure.
The exact requirement depends on the receiving organization,
the country where the document will be used and the type
of document involved.
BKMOS therefore recommends confirming the recipient’s
requirements before choosing a certification procedure.
Our role is to prepare an accurate professional translation
and support the appropriate document-processing workflow
within the agreed service scope.
A broad term commonly used for a translation accompanied
by a certification, declaration or formal confirmation
required by the receiving organization.
Under Vietnam’s current notarial framework,
formal procedures may involve certification
of the translator’s signature rather than
certification of the translated content itself.
This remains a widely used client and search term.
The actual procedure should be determined according
to current Vietnamese regulations and the requirements
of the receiving authority.
Some organizations require only a professional translation
and do not require notarization or signature certification.

CROSS-BORDER DOCUMENTS
Requirements can differ depending on where a document
was issued and where it will ultimately be submitted.
Vietnamese birth certificates, academic records,
legal documents, financial records and other documents
may need to be translated into English or another
destination language for overseas use.
Before processing, clients should confirm whether
the receiving organization requires translation only,
translator certification, signature certification
or another authentication procedure.
Documents issued outside Vietnam may need to be
translated into Vietnamese when submitted to
Vietnamese authorities, employers, universities,
banks or other organizations.
The required authentication procedure depends on
the document type and the authority receiving it.
DOCUMENT ACCURACY
Small inconsistencies can create problems when documents
are reviewed together as part of a visa, academic,
employment or legal application.
BKMOS therefore pays particular attention to information
that must remain consistent across documents.
Personal and company names are checked against
the source documents and available reference documents.
Dates, identification numbers, financial figures
and document references require careful verification.
Administrative, legal and academic terminology
is selected according to document context.
Tables, headings, seals, notes and structural elements
are reproduced where relevant to the translated document.
HOW IT WORKS
Send us your documents before ordering so that we can
review the language, document type, intended use
and required delivery format.
1
Send clear scans, photographs or digital files
together with information about where the
documents will be used.
2
We identify the language pair, document type,
formatting requirements and requested
certification workflow.
3
Translation is completed and key information
such as names, dates, numbers and terminology
is reviewed before delivery.
4
Where included in the agreed scope, the appropriate
certification procedure is coordinated and
the completed documents are delivered.
BEFORE YOU ORDER
For an accurate quote, send clear copies of all pages
that need translation. If the documents will be used
for a visa, university, government authority or legal
procedure, tell us where they will be submitted.
If you have instructions from the receiving organization,
include them with your documents. This helps determine
whether you need translation only or an additional
certification procedure.

IMPORTANT NOTE
The expressions “certified translation” and
“notarized translation” are commonly used by clients,
but the legally appropriate procedure can vary by
document, authority and intended country of use.
Under Vietnam’s current notarial framework,
the procedure involving translated documents may include
certification of the translator’s signature. Clients should
therefore follow the specific requirements of the authority
or organization receiving their documents.
BKMOS provides translation and document-processing support
within the agreed service scope and does not replace the
receiving authority in determining whether a particular
document satisfies its legal or administrative requirements.
